The Communion Service

Ordinance of Humility

We follow Christ’s example of humilitywashing one another’s feetbefore turning our attention to further reflection on His sacrificial death on our behalf.

The Lord’s Supper

As Christ instructed, we remember His great sacrifice for us by sharing the bread and the cup—unleavened bread and unfermented grape juice—symbols of His body and blood, which He selflessly offered for us, once for all.

In this service, we also take time for personal reflection and renewal, remembering that Christ meets with us here as we look forward to His return. To learn more about the meaning of the Lord’s Supper, see the Adventist Church’s official beliefs page.

Open Communion

Seventh-day Adventists practice open communion—all who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are welcome to participate. Those who prefer are welcome to observe.

We typically celebrate the communion service once per quarter.
